Eye Twitching Superstition in Chinese Culture
Eye twitching happens to a lot of people every day and because of that many superstitions have evolved. The Chinese believe that eyelid twitching can lead to two different things. Left eye twitching means you will have good fortune in the future. If your right eyelid is twitching then you shall experience bad luck. This superstition is only for men. For women it is good luck if your right eye is twitching and bad luck when your left is twitching. This isn’t the only superstition regarding eye twitching in China. A lot of people believe that if your lower eyelid on the left eye is twitching that someone is gossiping about you and you will cry very soon. These two superstitions are most known among Chinese population. Don’t take superstitions to seriously and worry if your eye twitches. Nothing bad will happen to you, but if your eyelid constantly twitches you should consult with your doctor about it.
